FREE TOOL FOR REALTORS®
Your market. Every morning. Automatically.
The Daily News Digest searches dozens of local sources each night and delivers a branded, ready-to-share summary to your Desktop before you wake up.
Works on Mac & Windows · Requires Claude Desktop · 5-minute setup

THE PROBLEM
You know your market. But staying current takes time you don’t have.
Finding, reading, and turning local news into shareable content is a daily job on top of your actual job.
An hour a day to stay informed
Checking a dozen news sites every morning before you can start your actual work. That’s 5+ hours a week spent on research, not relationships.
Social posts that take forever
You see an interesting story somewhere and think “I should share this” – then 20 minutes later you’re still staring at a blank caption wondering what to say.
Repeating the same search
Google, local news sites, Facebook groups – the same routine, every morning, whether or not anything new is actually there. Tedious and inconsistent.
HOW WE SOLVE IT
One file. Every morning. Ready to use.
The Daily News Digest automates the research, the writing, and the delivery — so you can skip straight to sharing.
Searches YOUR sources + web
Local news outlets, city and county sites, economic development boards, school districts, real estate trade publications – whatever you want searched, you can add.
Writes the Social post for you
Every story comes with a pre-written social post, hashtags, and a link. Click once to select all the text, paste into Facebook, and you’re done in seconds.
Saves the file locally for you
Opens in any browser. No app to check, no login, no dashboard. Your digest is just a file waiting for you each morning, exactly where you expect it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Good questions. Here are the answers.
Claude Desktop is free to download and includes a free tier. However, the Daily News Digest runs a lot of searches and requires access to your local file system (to write the output file), which requires subscription access. A Claude Pro subscription ($20/month) is required for reliable daily use. Claude Team plans also work well if you’re sharing with a brokerage.
Yes. Claude Desktop runs on both Mac and Windows, and the Daily News Digest works on both. The installation steps are nearly identical. The included INSTALL.txt file has separate step-by-step instructions for each operating system.
Yes – just tell Claude what you want to change. “Add Sugar Land to my digest” or “Remove the commercial real estate category” or “Add this website as a source” all work as plain conversational commands. Your settings are stored in a config file on your computer and update instantly.
Scheduled runs require Claude Desktop to be running at the time of delivery, and your save folder must be added to Cowork’s Trusted Folders list (Claude Desktop → Settings → CoWork → Trusted CoWork Folders). The INSTALL.txt guide walks through both steps. You can also run the digest manually anytime by opening Claude Desktop and typing “run my morning digest.”
No. The digest keeps a deduplication tracker that remembers every story it has published for 30 days. If an article URL or headline has already appeared in a recent digest, it’s automatically skipped. Each day’s file is fresh content. However, Claude will not differentiate the same story being published by different publications.
Google Alerts emails you raw links as they’re published – no summary, no social post, no formatting, no deduplication, and no control over timing. It’s also extremely limited for filtering both the news you want and the specific locations you want it for. The Daily News Digest summarizes each story, writes the Facebook post for you, filters for relevance and recency, removes duplicates, and delivers everything as a single branded file at the time you choose. It’s the difference between a pile of ingredients and a meal that’s ready to eat.
